This Chinese New Year card features glowing red lanterns hung with the 新年快樂 characters for happy new year, set against a warm cream background with a classic and celebratory feel. It is a beautiful and traditionally grounded lunar new year card that captures one of the most iconic images of the entire holiday season.

Red lanterns are one of the most enduring symbols of Chinese New Year, hung across streets, doorways, temples, and family homes to usher in luck and light the way into a new year full of possibility. The tradition dates back over two thousand years and is rooted in the belief that lantern light keeps away bad spirits and draws in good fortune. Walking through a street lined with red lanterns on New Year's Eve is one of those experiences that stays with you long after the holiday is over.

The 新年快樂 characters mean "Happy New Year" in Traditional Chinese and are the most common new year greeting exchanged between family and friends throughout the season. A timeless pick as a Chinese new year card, Tet card, or lunar new year card, for everyone on your list.
